Parent and Toddler Support Group

Down Syndrome LIVERPOOL hold a support group for parents at the Dingle Children's Centre every Monday morning.

This is an excellent opportunity for members of our community to get together and pool our knowledge and resources to help each other where we can, or just have a cup of tea and let the children socialise! In our experience, we find the first few years difficult for many people and a support group like this one has proved effective for many people in the past in helping them cope with the adjustments and education needed having a child with additional needs.

The group is aimed at parents with a child with Down Syndrome aged between 0 and 5 (siblings are also welcome.), but feel free to get in touch if you would like to come and you do not meet this criteria.

It is held at the Dingle Children's Centre, Mill Street every Monday between 12.15pm and 2:00pm.

We provide drinks and snacks and in addition to our own room we have available to us:-

:: A wide Selection of age appropriate learning toys.
:: Use of the sensory room.
:: Guest speakers from education and health.

If you are interested in coming along please contact Louise O'Brien on (0151) 256 9983 or Rena Wright on (0151) .
